Warranty & Repair

Every piece is quality-checked before it leaves us. It is your responsibility to have the piece inspected regularly so prongs have not worn to a point where a stone could be lost, and to keep dirt from building up. See jewellery care for how to look after your piece.

Faults not covered

• Obvious damage due to physical trauma
• Excessive wear
• Misuse or damage
• Natural overtime wear and tear
• Discolouration caused by chlorine, cleaning products, chemicals and the like
• Obvious impact damage to the jewellery, regardless of the cause
• Bent or worn-out prongs (preventable with regular inspection) resulting in loss of a stone
• Fixing damage caused by another service provider
• Misshapen rings due to heavy-handed activities such as DIY or sport
• Items repaired or serviced by another jeweller

We recommend removing rings for sport, DIY and similar activities.

If there is a manufacturing fault

Get in touch and describe the problem. Our jewellery team will talk you through returning the item for inspection. Defects we identify as manufacturing faults are repaired or replaced free of charge.

Damage that is not a manufacturing fault can often still be fixed by us, for a fee agreed before any work begins. You may also ask us to return the piece as it is. Return shipping is the customer’s responsibility.

Making a claim

1. If goods arrive faulty, damaged or different from what you ordered, we will replace or repair them, or refund the purchase price for the return of the defective goods. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 you also have a short-term right to reject goods that are unsatisfactory, unfit for purpose or not as described. Email sales@seleneorigins.com to start a claim.
2. Return the original inner packaging, certificates and documentation, or a charge may apply.
3. Proof of purchase must be supplied.
4. The cost of returning and insuring the goods in transit is yours. That cost varies by country and value.
5. If goods show damage, scratches or deterioration we may reduce any repayment to reflect the loss in value.
