1. Set your budget

There is no rule that says three months’ salary. Choose a figure that fits your partner’s taste and your finances. A lab-grown diamond means you do not have to downgrade the stone to stay inside that number.

2. Understand the 4 Cs

3. Choose the metal and setting

The setting is everything besides the centre stone: prongs, gallery, band and accents. It has to hold the stone securely and be comfortable every day. Our collection pieces are finished in gold vermeil or platinum plating over solid 925 sterling silver. Popular styles include solitaire, halo, three-stone and pavé.

4. Centre stone

Shape sets the character — classic round, emerald, pear, baguette. Look at jewellery they already wear, and at whether their style is minimal or bold. Then decide carat: we work from delicate everyday stones to much larger centre stones for bespoke work.

5. Ring size

Borrow a ring they already wear and match it to our size chart, ask someone close to them, or request a complimentary ring sizer. We resize eligible rings once, free, in the first year.

6. Review and order

For a collection piece, choose metal and size on the product page. For bespoke, we confirm the design by email before making starts. Every stone ships with independent certification and our lifetime manufacturing guarantee.
